Israel has withdrawn its remaining troops from Lebanon - a central requirement of the UN ceasefire which ended the fighting with Hezbollah.

About 200 soldiers crossed the border back into Israel in the early hours of the morning.

Israel had dispatched thousands of troops into southern Lebanon during a month-long war, which followed the abduction of two Israeli soldiers in July.

Lebanese and international peacekeeping troops are being deployed to monitor the ceasefire.
