Thousands of protestors in Budapest, Hungary, tried to force their way into the offices of state television today.
The protestors were rallying against Hungary's Socialist government after the broadcast of a leaked tape showing Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany admitting that he lied in order to win April's election.
Police have used teargas to stop the crowd of several thousand entering the television station, which is close to parliament where 10,000 protestors had gathered earlier.
Meanwhile, Hungary's main opposition party Fidesz said its MPs would boycott parliament for a day on Tuesday to protest against what it said were the lies of the Socialist-led government.
'We will not go, it is decided how do we know they will tell the truth and won't come in six months and say they lied,' Fidesz parliamentary faction leader Tibor Navraciscs said.
