The deputy leader of the Progressive Democrats has criticised comments made last week by the party trustee Paul MacKay.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio's This Week, Liz O Donnell said Mr MacKay had over stepped the mark in comments he made about the former party leader and about the leadership contest.
Ms O'Donnell also said she would give consideration to going into coalition with either Fine Gael or Labour after the next Election.
