Westport in Co Mayo has been named Ireland's tidiest town for 2006.
It beat off competition from almost 700 entrants to land the coveted prize.
Ennis, Co Clare was named winner in the new category of tidiest 'large urban centre'.
Aughrim, Co Wicklow was named winner in the small town category while Birdhill, Co Tipperary was awarded winner in the village category.
