At least 24 people have been killed in a series of attacks across Iraq.
In the capital Baghdad, two bombs exploded in a grassy area near a police station in the Shia area of Amil, leaving 12 dead and 14 wounded.
It is understood most of those killed were playing football at the time of the blast.
The Iraqi defence ministry said a mortar shell later hit another playing field in the Sunni district of Dura, killing three children.
Elsewhere in the capital, in the Tayaran Square area, three people were killed and nine wounded in a series of early morning bombs.
North of Baghdad, two civilians were killed and four wounded when a roadside bomb exploded as their car passed the town of Hawija, near Kirkuk and two police officers were killed by gunmen near Baquba.
Also in the north of the country, near Mosul, a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol killed an officer and wounded three others.
And near the town of Tal Afar, three mortars landed in a village square killing one civilian and wounding three others.
