It is reported an Israeli tank shell has killed a 16-year-old Palestinian civilian in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.
More than 150 Palestinians, around half of them gunmen, have been killed in Israel's month-long assault.
The assault began to recover a soldier who was captured on 25 June and to end cross-border rocket attacks.
