The former RTÉ News and sports broadcaster Vere Wynne Jones, has died. He was 56.
Vere presented the news and sports news on RTÉ Radio and Television for a number of years and was a founder member of the RTÉ Sports unit on 2FM.
He had been battling illness for some time.
He is survived by his wife Jenny and children Stephen and Ruth.
