President Mary McAleese is in Austria for a three-day State visit.
During her trip, Mrs McAleese will meet Austria's President, Heinz Fischer, in Vienna and she will also attend the official opening of one of the country's biggest festivals.
It is Ms McAleese's first State visit to the country.
This evening, the President attended a reception hosted by David Donoghue, Ambassador of Ireland to Austria.
President McAleese is accompanied by her husband, Dr Martin McAleese, and the Minister for Communications, Marine & Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey.
