The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said the pay deal reached as part of the National Partnership Agreement is a 'good deal'.
Speaking on RTÉ's Radio's This Week programme, Mr Ahern said that workers were the overall beneficiaries of all the Partnership agreements.
He said that the deal will provide confidence in the future for a rapidly changing labour market.
