The Chairman of Microsoft, Bill Gates, has announced that he intends to step down from his full-time role with the company by 2008.
At a news conference, the world's richest man told reporters he plans to spend more time working for his charity, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Mr Gates denied the move would have any significant impact on Microsoft.
