Around 1,000 government workers marched on the Palestinian parliament today, demanding to be paid.
Some of the protestors forced their way into the parliamentary session and proceedings were halted.
Most civil servants have nott been paid since February following the cut in Western aid to the Palestinian Authority because of the refusal of Hamas to recognise Israel and renounce violence.
