The US President, George W Bush, has compared his war on terrorism to the Cold War, saying the US will show the same resolve and pursue its enemies wherever they are found.
Addressing cadets at the US military academy at Westpoint, Mr Bush said the US would fight on every battlefield, it would never back down and never give in.
He told the the cadets that they would win what he called 'the long war with Islamic radicalism'.
He also defended the invasion of Iraq, saying the world was better off with Saddam Hussein out of power.
