Pressure is growing on the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, to say when he will step down.
Mr Blair is expected to meet his likely successor, Chancellor Gordon Brown, over the weekend to discuss Labour's future after its poor performance in local elections in England.
There have been reports that up to 50 Labour back benchers have signed a letter calling on Mr Blair to set a date for his departure.
