Serbia has failed to meet a deadline to hand over war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic.
The European Union had given Serbia until midnight last night to arrest General Mladic and hand him over to the UN War Crimes Tribunal in the The Hague.
The EU had threatened that the passing of the deadline could mean that talks to build closer ties could be suspended.
Mladic, who is thought to be hiding somewhere in Serbia, has been charged with genocide for the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, and other crimes.
