Industrial action at FÁS offices in Dublin is set to go ahead tomorrow after talks at the Labour Relations Commission failed to resolve a row over decentralisation.
Only a tiny minority of the 400 staff at FÁS have agreed to decentralise to Birr Co Offaly.
SIPTU staff at FÁS voted to take action after management said promotions would be linked to being prepared to relocate to Birr.
However ten hours of talks today failed to resolve the row and no further talks are scheduled.
Pickets will be placed on four head office premises in Dublin from 8.30am to 11am tomorrow morning.
SIPTU says this is the first of a series of stoppages over decentralisation.
