Liberia's former leader Charles Taylor is expected to appear before a special United Nations war crimes court in Sierra Leone on charges of crimes against humanity.
He faces 11 counts including murder, maiming, sexual abuse and the use of children under 15 years as soldiers during Liberia's war.
The trial proper is not expected to begin for a number of months as the court has said it wants the hearing moved to The Hague because of security concerns.
