Fine Gael is calling on the Government to ensure that any new partnership deal allows the outsourcing of driving tests.
Last month the Labour Court ruled that Government plans to outsource driving tests violated the Sustaining Progress Agreement.
More than 130,000 people are currently waiting for a driving test and the average wait is around 32 weeks.
Fine Gael's Spokesperson on Transport, Olivia Mitchell, has said the Government should no longer allow its hands to be tied.
