The Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union has said that ZRE Katowicz has agreed to correct underpayments it made to employees working at the ESB Moneypoint plant in Co Clare.

The TEEU had accused the company of paying below legal minimum wage rates to Polish welders and fitters.

The men were working on a €350 million State contract and were receiving €5.20 per hour - one third of the agreed rate for the job.
