The German company responsible for the underpayment of Polish workers at Moneypoint Power Station in Co Clare has said it has taken steps to correct the situation.
The firm, Lentjes, has said new contracts are being issued to ensure the Polish workers receive the correct remuneration.
The men were hired by a Polish sub contractor, ZRE Katowice, for the €350 million State contract and were receiving €5.20 per hour - one third of the agreed rate for the job.
A spokesperson for the ESB has said an internal audit by the company on wages had shown a problem with the sub-contractor. It says it requires all contractors to comply with employment legislation.
The ESB has drawn up a memorandum of understanding, which is to be signed by all contractors and sub-contractors to address the problem.
