A ballot for industrial action among SIPTU members at FÁS has been postponed after a sealed envelope containing ballot papers went missing.
The ballot over the Government's plan to decentralise FÁS to Birr, Co Offaly, had been scheduled to take place today and tomorrow, with the result due on Friday.
The ballot will now take place in the FÁS Head Office boardroom, Baggot St, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm next Wednesday.
It is understood the envelope went missing at FÁS offices in Dublin yesterday.
