Iran and Russia have agreed in principle on a joint venture that could see Iran moving the sensitive parts of its nuclear programme to Russian soil.
The head of Iran's nuclear agency said, however, further talks were needed on the compromise proposal aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict over Tehran's nuclear research activities.
Last month, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported Iran to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions.
