Israel has said it regards the incoming Palestinian government led by Hamas as a terrorist regime.
The Israeli cabinet approved the imposition of a range of sanctions against the Palestinian Authority this morning.
They include halting the transfer of tax revenue to the Palestinian Authority, increasing security checks and restricting the movement of Hamas members in the West Bank.
