A total of 200 jobs are being created in Dundalk by Bank of Scotland Ireland.

The bank's new customer service centre was officially opened this morning.

Already around 100 people are working in the new centre located on the outskirts of Dundalk. 

It is expected that at least another 100 jobs will be created there by the bank over the coming months.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and local TD, Dermot Ahern, officially opened the building today and expressed the hope that further jobs announcements will be made in the near future for the northeast region.
