Students from University College Dublin staged a sit-in this afternoon at the offices of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to protest at a delay in receiving local authority grants.
The protest followed a four-month delay in the receipt of grants by students in a number of colleges, including UCD.
It was organised by the Union of Students in Ireland.
It is understood protests were organised at other local authority offices, including Fingal County Council.
Students hope to meet with the County Manager of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to address the issue in the coming days.
