A Dublin shop worker who was sacked for wearing a trade union badge has received further support from Scottish members of parliament.
Last week, a Labour MP tabled a motion for the House of Commons condemning the chain store, Dunnes Stores.
Five Scottish Socialist MSPs have lodged a motion accusing Dunnes Stores, which has outlets throughout Scotland, of achieving a new low in European industrial relations.
22-year-old Joanne Delaney had worked in Dunnes Stores in Crumlin for almost four years but was suspended and later dismissed after refusing to remove a Mandate union membership badge.
An email campaign across Europe, co-ordinated by Mandate, has resulted in thousands of emails being sent to Dunnes Stores.
Meanwhile, the Independent TD Finian McGrath has promised total support for the former Dunnes Stores worker.
He said the company had said she did not conform with company policy on wearing her union badge on her uniform.
