The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, are to have talks at Farmleigh House in Dublin on Thursday.

The two leaders will review the Northern Ireland peace process and focus on issues to be addressed to bring about the full restoration of the democratic institutions of the Good Friday Agreement.

In that context, they will emphasise the need for all of the parties to engage intensively in the coming months, beginning with talks scheduled by the two governments for early next month.

The Taoiseach will be accompanied at the talks by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dermot Ahern, and the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell.

Mr Blair will be accompanied by the Northern Secretary, Peter Hain.
