Cork residents seek leave for incinerator case

Residents in Cork Harbour are seeking leave in the High Court to oppose the granting of waste licences to Indaver Ireland for the country's first commercial toxic waste incinerator.

The Environmental Protection Agency granted the licences last November.

The application was being lodged with the court on behalf of the Ringaskiddy Residents Association this afternoon.

The assocation is also challenging the granting of planning permission for the site at Ringaskiddy. That case has yet to be heard.
