The chief judge in the trial of the deposed Iraqi leader, Saddam Hussein, plans to step down.
Judge Rizgar Amin will reportedly announce details of his intentions after presiding over the next court session on Tuesday week.
Sources close to the judge said that he would oversee the next sitting and then announce his reasons for withdrawing.
