A child being tested for a suspected case of bird flu has died in a Turkish hospital today.
Doctors say there is no evidence the child died from the disease, which has killed more than 70 people in Asia.
If confirmed it will be the first human death of the disease outside Asia.
Five others from the same region of eastern Turkey are undergoing tests after showing flu symptoms. One child is said to be in a critical condition.
