At least 14 people have been killed in a series of attacks in Iraq.

Four policemen and four civilians were killed in two bomb and a mortar attacks in Baghdad.

Five people died in an explosion targeting the local headquarters of the Sunni-based Iraqi Islamic Party in Khalis, 70km north of Baghdad.

Two men guarding the building were among those killed.

A policeman was also shot dead in north Baghdad.

At least 16 people were wounded in these attacks, including four police commandos caught in a separate explosion in the south of the capital.
