The Commision for Communication Regulation has turned down An Post's application to increase the price of the standard letter stamp, which will remain at 48 cent.
However, the cost of posting large envelopes has increased by 30 cent to 90 cent.
In addition, the price of posting a parcel will increase from 96 cent to €2.
ComReg also agrees with An Post's newly revised price proposals for its discounted large envelope and parcel services.
The new prices are to take effect in three months’ time.
