Carlow has been named the cleanest town in Ireland, beating off 56 rivals in a survey conducted by the Irish Business Against Litter campaign.
The survey identified Ballinasloe in Co Galway, Cobh in Co Cork, Finglas in Dublin city and Mayfield/Dillons Cross in Cork city as litter blackspots.
