A new report into the safety of the Corrib Gas Pipeline has raised questions into the risks it could pose to residents living along its route.
In its draft report, the UK-based risk management consultancy company, Advantica, said the pressure at which gas is delivered through the pipe should be limited.
It also said it wanted the Government to establish a formal framework to monitor all aspects of the development and operation of the pipeline.
The report was commissioned by the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey.
