A Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant has been killed in a shootout with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank.
The killing comes on the same day as the leader of the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad said it had agreed a conditional end to rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip.
Khaled al-Batsh said the group would stop firing if Israel stopped what he called its aggression.
The two sides have being trading fire in a week of violence in which fifteen people have been killed.
