A detective sergeant has denied that he interfered with evidence or tried to test an explosive device found attached to a Telecom Mast in Donegal nine years ago.
Det. Sgt John White told the Morris Tribunal today that he was too long in the game of police work to open or unseal evidence bags.
The Morris Tribunal is investigating allegations in a new module relating to the discovery of the explosive device. After it was found three people were arrested.
A local independent TD has claimed that he has information suggesting that gardaí planted the explosive device.
