A pharmaceutical facility in Co Tipperary has announced plans to shed 60 jobs.
Merck Sharp and Dohme, which employs over 400 people at its plant in Ballydine, is seeking 60 voluntary redundancies.
The company says it will be entering into discussions with employees and unions so that these changes can be implemented as soon as possible.
Merck, which has been operating in Co Tipperary since 1976, blames high costs in Ireland as the reason for the lay-offs.
