A mother who raised eight children in a two bedroom flat has become the first tenant in the newly developed Fatima Mansions in Dublin city centre.
More than 600 new houses and apartments are being built as part of a €200m redevelopment of the flat complex.
The first phase, comprising 110 social homes will be completed early next month. However, part of the complex was opened today.
This afternoon, an excited Margaret Brophy became the first tenant when she was handed the keys to her house.
