LUAS - Derailment hits Green Line services

Services on the LUAS Green Line have been partially restored after a tram derailment earlier this evening.

The line has now resumed service between Balally and St Stephen's Green, but full services to Sandyford will not be restored until further notice.

The LUAS operator Connex says that all LUAS tickets are valid on Dublin Bus during the disruption.

The derailment happened at about 9pm at the changeover beyond the terminal stop at Sandyford, causing the line to be blocked by the tram.

No passengers were on board at the time and no-one was injured.
