The trade union, SIPTU, has raised concerns with the management of the Jurys Doyle hotel group about a €1.1bn takeover approach for the company.
Last Friday the board of Jurys Doyle agreed to a takeover bid from a group of property developers. Three Irish businessmen have been trying to buy the group since May.
The deal will have to be approved by shareholders, but SIPTU is concerned the acquisition could jeopardise any deals for staff already reached with Jurys Doyle management.
Staff members are also seeking clarification about a second deal which would see the company sell its Ballsbridge site in Dublin.
It is understood management has told staff the hotel group will lease the site until 2007.
The company is planning to respond to the union's concerns.
Jurys Doyle employs 4,000 people across Britain and Ireland.
