Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams has said his party will seek a formal review of the decision by the Parades Commission to allow two controversial orange marches in the mainly nationalist Crumlin Road area of North Belfast next Tuesday, 12 July.

Mr Adams said an extremely volatile situation had been created by the decision to allow the feeder parades by three lodges in the morning and the evening on their way to and from the main parade in the city.

He said the Orange Order was insisting on marching through nationalist areas where they are unwelcome.

Mr Adams said the party had had discussions with their solicitors about the matter.
