An Iraqi has been killed and two were injured when a suicide car bomber attacked a checkpoint at the main entrance to Baghdad international airport.
The lunchtime attack was on Checkpoint One, the main entrance to Baghdad's airport through which most foreigners entering or leaving Iraq travel.
A suicide bomber earlier blew up his car among a group of police recruits in Iraq, killing at least 12 and injuring more than 100.
The attack took place in the northern city of Arbil.
A witness said the bomber drove a car from a nearby building site onto a soccer field where more than 200 recruits had gathered for training.
An official said many of the wounded were in a serious condition and the death toll could rise.
