19 people were killed after a suicide bomb attack at a mosque in southern Afghanistan today.
Around 52 people were also wounded when the blast ripped through a mosque in the centre of Kandahar.
Officials said Kabul police chief Mohammed Akram was among those killed.
He was among many who were at the mosque to mourn a senior anti-Taliban cleric, who was shot dead on Sunday.
Mawlavi Abdullah Fayaz was killed by two men on a motorcycle as he left his office. Last week he made a speech attacking Taliban leader Mullah Omar.
No group has yet said it carried out today's attack.
