Fine Gael has proposed free regular health checks for all adults with their local GP, as part of a new policy document on preventive health.
It proposes national screening programmes under which people would voluntarily register with a national database if they wish to avail of screening.
The document also recommends incentives for GPs to develop preventive medicine.
