The Department of Agriculture's livestock offices throughout the country will remain open over the weekend for farmers who have not yet applied for a new type of EU subsidy.
The deadline for applications for the new subsidy, which consolidates a number of EU grants into one payment, is Monday.
Up to last night about 110,000 farmers had applied, but another 30,000 had not done so.
The new system comes into effect this year and is worth more than €1.3 billion to farmers.
