Fishing boat crew rescued off Kinsale

Three people have been rescued off the coast of Kinsale in Co Cork.

A fishing vessel, 'The Marina', got into difficulty when a pipe burst in its engine and the boat began to take in water.

The 75ft vessel sent a distress call at about 6am this morning.

Another fishing vessel, 'The Quayfisher', was nearby at the time and rescued the three men on board.

The Courtmacsherry Lifeboat is trying to salvage 'The Marina'. Its engine room is said to be two thirds full of water but the vessel is not sinking.
