A group of 40 independent truck owners demonstrated at a Cement Roadstone quarry at Castlebar, Co Mayo, today in a dispute over rates of payment for road haulage work.
The hauliers have withdrawn their services from the company following the breakdown of talks.
The truckers are seeking an increase of 28% to compensate for loss of earnings due to new restrictions on the amount of materials they can carry.
