Sudan has rejected a UN resolution to refer war crimes suspects in the Darfur region to the international tribunal in the Hague.
Foreign Minister Naguib al-Khair Abdel said the resolution would undermine justice.
The Security Council had voted earlier this week to to refer a sealed list of 51 people accused of crimes against humanity in Darfur to the International Criminal Court.
It is the first time the US has agreed to recognise the international court.
According to the UN, 180,000 people have died in the two-year conflict and more than two million have fled their homes.
