The President, Mary McAleese, has arrived in the South Korean capital, Seoul, on a State visit to the country.

Mrs McAleese will meet President Roh Moo-hyun and South Korea's First Lady in the official State residence, The Blue House, tomorrow.

She will also lay a wreath at the memorial tower in honour of those who died in the Korean War, before addressing the Korean International Trade Association.

In her address, President McAleese will discuss the success of the Irish economy.

Later tomorrow she will be guest of honour at a State dinner hosted by President Roh.

President McAleese visited Japan last week as part of her ten-day Asian tour.
