Protesters have been marching against the war in Iraq, two years after the US-led assault began.

In Dublin, about 500 people turned out to express their opposition to the war.

It was organised jointly by the Irish Anti-War Movement, the NGO Peace Alliance and the Peace and Neutrality Alliance.

More than 100,000 people took to the streets of the capital on 15 February 2003 in anti-war demonstrations.

In London a ' Bring the Troops Home' march was organised by the Stop the War Coalition. An estimated 45,000 people gathered in Hyde Park.

Similar demonstrations took place in more than 30 cities across the world as part of an international day of action.
