Poll shows 2% drop in SF support

A new opinion poll shows a drop in support for Sinn Féin, apparently as a result of the controversy over the Robert McCartney murder and the Northern Bank raid.

The MRBI poll for tomorrow's Irish Times shows support for Sinn Féin at 9%, a drop of 2% since the last poll just a month ago.

Support for Fianna Fáil at 38% and Fine Gael at 22% are both unchanged since January. Labour at 12% and the PDs at 3% are both down one.

The Greens are unchanged at 4%, and Others have increased their support by 4 points to 12%.

The poll was carried out in all constituencies in the State last Monday and Tuesday.
